  • COA Summer Basketball Clinic

    The COA will again be holding a clinic this summer and it will be another fantastic and affordable opportunity to improve your game. Tons of fantastic clinicians with a wealth of experience and the cost is only $20 (COA Members) or $30 (Non-COA Members). Full information can be found by saving the Camp Announcement.   • COA Apparel Orders

    We are happy to announce that we will once again be taking orders for COA Apparel. An extensive inventory of options is available - anything from shirts and pants to socks and bags are options to get great gear and show your affiliation to this association. Available items are listed in this catalog. Once selecting your items, all orders should be emailed directly to Dave Wetzel at wetz6@comcast.net.

  • COA Annual Banquet - Aprlil 26

    We will again host our annual banquet to celebrate another successful year for the COA and its many members. This year’s banquet will again be held at Hawthorne Race Course located at 3501 S. Laramie. This year the COA will be honoring Gary Grovohena by awarding him our Ellie Hasan award. We will also be inducting Pat Bayers, Tom Kleinschmidt and Pam Young into the COA Hall of Fame. It is certain to be a very enjoyable evening. Please make plans to join us in honoring these great officials.

    The banquet is Friday, April 26, 2019 beginning at 6:30 pm for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres and dinner at 7:30 pm. The cost of the banquet is $45 per person, in advance and $60 at the door. Please take advantage of the pre-pay discount and pay online. All you need to do is log onto the COA website and update your profile and submit your dues and banquet payment by April 19th. We look forward to seeing you there!

  • COA Annual Dues - due by June 1

    Annual dues remain a terrific bargain at $45 for a single sport and $60 for two sports. Use the “pay now” link located on the MY ACCOUNT page to pay your dues and banquet fees. Anyone who has not paid their dues by June 1, 2019 will be assessed a $10 late fee to register after that date. If you have any questions or problems making payment or navigating on the web site please use the “contact us” link to explain the problem.
  • COA Annual Meeting Recap

    Our Annual Meeting was held at St. Laurence on October 5. During the meeting, we discussed recruitment and retention of officials, the continuation of an ad-hoc committee dedicated to that recruitment, reviewed the year and the budget, and elected three board members. Congratulations to Jim Sullivan, Steve Honacki, and Dave Wetzel on their election to the board and a big thank you to Jeff Rutledge on his service to the COA these last three years!

  • COA Scholarship Awards and Applications

    The COA Board is excited to announce that applications for the "LT Bonner" Football and "Rich Weiler" Basketball Scholarships are now available. Applications should be turned in as early as possible prior to the camp or clinic you intend to attend and will be reviewed by the scholarship committee. Awards will be disseminated at the discretion of the board. There is a total of $500 of dedicated dollars available per sport. To be eligible, applicants must:

    1) Must be a dues paying member of the Association for the sport you are seeking a scholarship.
    2) Must have attended at least 75% of the rules interpretation meetings conducted by the football or basketball committees.
    3) Must be willing to make a presentation on what you learned at the camp or clinic at a football or basketball rules interpretation meeting during the next season.
  • Registering for the Arbiter

    In order to be assigned games, all officials must register for The Arbiter. Full instructions on how to register and begin working games can be found here.
